An action-packed weekend of chess at the Bowling Green Restaurant, Parklands, finally came to an end with the sixth and final round of the ChessPAK Classical tournament earlier today.
Austin Okeyo who was leading with 3 points at the end of round 3 along with Ben Magana and Collins Young, lost two straight games to finish the tournament in joint 4th place.
Favourite to win, Ben Magana, maintained his lead from round 4 till the end and was the only player to win all his games. ChessPAK Chairman Collins Young improved on his dismal performance in previous events to end the tournament in joint 2nd place with ‘retiree’ Martin Oyamo.
