RW: First Chess Club from Rwanda Listed on Chess Events EAC

Ten months after the launch of Chess Events EAC, we finally have some news from Rwanda to share with you—the listing of a Kigali based chess club.

KIST logoThanks to Facebook, FERWADE treasurer Alain Niyibizi, and club member Rundial Thomas Gatkouth, we have obtained information on Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) Chess Club and listed it on our ‘Chess Clubs – Rwanda’ page.

We now have 12 chess clubs from 3 countries in the East Africa Community listed on Chess Events EAC. They are:

Kenya (in alphabetical order):

  1. Aluta Chess Club – Nairobi
  2. Kabete Cares Chess Club – Kingeero
  3. Kenyatta University (KU) Chess Club – Nairobi
  4. Kimathi University Chess Club – Nyeri
  5. Mombasa Chess Club – Mombasa
  6. Nairobi Chess Club – Nairobi
  7. Strathmore Chess Club – Nairobi
  8. Thika Chess Club – Thika
  9. Westlands Chess Club – Nairobi
  10. Yasha Mission Chess Club – Njoro

Tanzania:

  1. Jua Chini Chess Club – Dar es Salaam

Rwanda:

  1. Kigali Institute of Science and Technology Chess Club – Kigali
