Chess Events EAC is the brainchild of chess enthusiast and Westlands Chess Club founder Paras Gudka.

Chess Events EAC founder Paras Gudka contemplates his next move

Frustrated at the lack of reliable sources of information on chess events in Kenya or the greater EAC region, he decided to set up a website himself. He chose the name “Chess Events EAC” not only to provide up-to-date information on events in the region but also to bring together chess players from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi for the common goal of popularising the sport.

Paras hopes this website will prove to be an invaluable resource to both amateur and professional players looking to improve their chess skills and meet new people by participating in events across Eastern Africa.

Well done. Keep it up. How can I post articles/game analysis on your website?

    • Paras Gudka

Mehul: Thank you for the appreciation. Do spread the word. If your articles/game analyses are related to an event that was previously posted on Chess Events EAC, you can email them to info@chesseventseac.com. As the focus of this initiative is on chess events in the EAC region, general chess articles are not encouraged. Maybe we could add a blog section to the NCC website once it is up and running, where members post such articles without restrictions.
